LACUREL Non-Silicone Release Liner by EMI
What is Lacurel paper?
Lacurel is a non-silicone, two-sided release liner used for curing rubber coated fabrics, particularly engineered fabrics as well as any processing requiring a release liner free of silicone. The base paper is a thick, strong 0.007” paper with very good tear strength in both directions.
Compare our non-silicone release liner to products from other manufacturers.
We spent several years designing and testing our non-silicone release liner coating, applied to both sides, (unlike other non-silicone release papers which are one-sided release papers), with the optimal amount of coating, and thus release, to function perfectly with many different types of reinforcing materials including nylon, fiberglass and others when being combined with various rubber compounds used in making engineered fabrics.
The surface finish is known in the industry as a “C” finish which imparts the optimal finish/ texture preferred by fabricators. Our paper is heavier than other release papers, so it can withstand the rigors of the rubber curing processes; heat, pressure, torsion and stretch. No other company makes a paper so perfectly designed for making the engineered fabrics produced by the rubber fabricating industry, such as light and heavy conveyor belting, rubber coated textiles, rubber belting, diaphragm material, food belting, many automotive and aerospace materials, ziplink belting, gasket materials and many elastomers that are combined with different substrates.
The processes in which Lacurel is used include rotocuring, mandrel wrap curing, calendaring, festoon curing and other curing processes. Rubber compounds used in making these engineered fabrics include Neoprene, Nitrile, EPDM, Silicone, ECO, Butyl and Naturel Rubber, to name a few.
We usually make Lacurel in rolls 48” – 64” wide with the capability of wider or narrower rolls. All components of Lacurel are made in the USA. Minimums, depending on size, around 100,000 sf.
